Yagiz was born in Izmir, Turkey, many many years back and received his PhD degree in electrical & computer engineering from NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering in June 2009. He founded InfoScope, a small high-tech research company in Boston in 2013 and currently working with several private and government agencies on many topics. He is also adjunct professor at NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering.
His expertise and interests are mostly in the intersection of the general area of signal processing, data analysis, pattern recognition and its application to real-world problems such as; biomedical applications, intelligent image/video analytics, biometrics, spectroscopy applications, digital multimedia forensics, device identification/fingerprinting, information hiding/extraction, fusion, tracking and control.
He holds BS and MS degrees in industrial engineering from Galatasaray University and systems and control engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey.
