Is there any software that I can buy that will use the spectrometer data to calculate CRI?
Public Lab is an open community which collaboratively develops accessible, open source, Do-It-Yourself technologies for investigating local environmental health and justice issues.
Don't know about the software, but the commercial instruments are much more involved than a spectrometer. They have a specific angle the light is reflected at. To be sure of no errors, the light source is usually in a circle around the sample port.

Take a look at the specs.

Hi @FineArtLight , there are some prior conversation on the old Googlegroup that have not yet been moved here on the website. Try this link: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/plots-spectrometry/CRI%7Csort:date

can you link to a definition of CRI? Maybe even one that has some example code? Thank you!
