The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, Environmental Public Health research team has been monitoring air quality in small Wisconsin towns for years. Most monitoring locations are in close proximity to industrial sand facilities, which are known sources of airborne particulates. Chronic exposure to these particulates can lead to adverse health effects, including lung cancer.

Recently the research team decided to move monitoring equipment to the roof of one of the buildings on the UWEC campus, to monitor air quality during the Garfield Ave demolition and construction. A dylos DC1100 (I'm 99% sure that is the model) is connected to a Raspberry Pi computer, which is connected to the internet via an ethernet connection. A previously created website receives the data from the Dylos, and posts the data.

The problem is that the data is not reaching the website. All of the equipment is responsive and seems to be working correctly, and connections are secure. Does anybody have troubleshooting advice for a Raspberry Pi?

Hi Ben! Catching up on this now, I guess it's running #open-pipe-kit, right?

How long ago was the last data upload and what's changed since, if anything? If I remember it was set up to use PageKite (https://pagekite.net/) to have a stable way to connect in, do you know if that's still working?

Ah I see the last transmission was March 31st, was that when you moved it?

Hi, Ben - I hear via @stevie that you've switched to a higher power supply (2.5 amps) but again it only worked for ~24 hours. (https://data.sparkfun.com/streams/pwvJ7v7XDdim0MObQaEp)

Have you plugged in a laptop at the ethernet cable outside to confirm that it's still providing an internet connection?

If you have a PageKite.net connection of some kind, I can try logging in remotely to see what's going on. I thought yours was up at http://opkchicago.pagekite.me -- but it doesn't look online to me. Do you have any info about that that you could share (though don't post passwords here, of course)

Another thing to try is to set up the Pi indoors at the original location to ensure that it's still working there. That way we have a better idea of exactly what's changed.
