In this edition of the Public Lab community newsletter; a heavy dose of Infragram with a sprinkling of mapping videos. Lots of research news related to the Public Lab infrared photography kickstarter campaign that now has only 12 days remaining.


Infragram

Will Ward shares some incredible Infragram tidepooling photography.

Chris Fastie looks carefully at white balance in infragram images. 
 Histograms. First a discussion on tweaking histograms, next on to
engineering them. In addition a deeper look at the actual infragram histogram values.

Jeff Warren considers infragram image channels and inexpensive CMOS cameras (http://publiclab.org/notes/warren/06-18-2013/continuing-difficulties-with-infrablue-in-cheaper-cmos-cameras). And swapping channels as a measure against difficulties with these cameras.
