MAPPING BLITZ!!
Kicking off of the Public Lab Urban Water Restoration Site Mapping Project! Meet us for a day filled with creating aerial imagery, photography, scavenger hunts and map building!
When: Saturday, October 11th 9:00-4:30
Where: Rosa Keller Branch Public Library New Orleans: 4300 South Broad Street
Event Schedule: In the morning, we will split into teams taking Public Lab aerial mapping kits into the city. Using balloons, kites and long poles, we will take aerial images of urban restoration sites. The event will then include lunch at the Rosa F. Keller library and an afternoon of building maps and sharing images using Public Lab's open source mapknitter software.
What to bring: Comfortable shoes A point and shoot camera if you have one

I don't think I can commit to the whole day. Would I be more useful in the morning collecting images or in the afternoon processing the images?
