This medicine is given as a shot under your skin or into a muscle. Somatropin may sometimes be given at home to patients who do not need to be in the hospital. If you are using this medicine at home, your doctor will teach you how to prepare and inject the medicine.
Assessment
The active substance in Somatropin Biopartners, somatropin, is identical to the human growth hormone. It is produced by a method known as 'recombinant DNA technology': the hormone is made by yeast cells into which a gene (DNA) has been introduced that makes them able to produce it.
Since insulin performs its most important function shortly after a meal, it is important that HGH injections be taken several hours after the last meal of the day. By injecting the hormone shortly before sleep, the body is able to maximize the effects using the natural cycle.
Somatropin is used to treat growth failure in children and adults who lack natural growth hormone. This includes people with short stature due to Noonan syndrome, Turner syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, short stature at birth with no catch-up growth, and other causes.
Vial: Reconstitute 5 mg vial with 1 to 3 mL and 8.8 mg vial with 2 to 3 mL bacteriostatic water for injection (benzyl alcohol preserved). If sensitivity to the diluent occurs, reconstitute with sterile water for injection. Gently swirl; do not shake.
Reconstitute each vial of 4 mg, 5 mg, or 6 mg with 0.5 to 1 mL sterile water for injection, USP.
The recommended dose of Genotropin in adults is 0.15 mg to 0.3 mg per day up to a maximum of 1.33 mg per day.

Somatomedins are a group of proteins that promote cell growth and division in response to stimulation by growth hormone (GH), also known as somatotropin (STH). In addition to their actions that stimulate growth, somatomedins also stimulate production of somatostatin, which suppresses growth hormone release.
HGH prompts the liver and other organs to make IGF-1, which affects many tissues and organs in the body. Studies usually measure IGF-1 rather than growth hormone directly because IGF-1 levels remain more constant.

What are the risks of HGH treatment?
Thigh: On your uncovered leg, find a spot midway between your thigh and your knee. Grasp about 2 inches of skin and inject your HGH as directed by your doctor. Stomach: Gently pinch about 2 inches of flesh either below your waist or right above the hipbone. The key is not to inject too close to your belly button.
