What does it mean to join Public Lab?
Being a community member may include one or more of the following:
- being registered on this website
- participating in at least one mailing list to learn from, contribute to, and gain recognition within the community
- using Public Lab tools outside or offline

As of September 2014, you can also become a sustaining member -- someone who supports the Public Lab 501(c)3 not-for-profit mission of democratizing inexpensive and accessible Do-It-Yourself techniques to create a collaborative network of practitioners who actively re-imagine the human relationship with the environment.
